Found Object Craft

The other day when I had just finished off a round of Laughing Cow cheese, I looked at the packaging and thought, what can I do with this?  This package on the right ---

First, eat the cheese, but best if you don't do it all at once! Then, peel off the top and bottom labels. I tried to get the top label off in one piece, to use as a template, but alas it did not cooperate. Sure I could have measured the top and cut my circle on my Cricut, but instead, I just traced it, cut it slightly larger and glued it over the top overlapping onto the side of the top. Then I glued ribbon around the side of the lid and the bottom. I dressed it up with flowers and a cute little glittery brad and Voila! a nice little gift box.

The flowers were blog candy I won earlier in the year, the ribbon, the brad and the paper are all Paper Studio.

I have some ideas for Christmas ---

Happy Birthday Card!

One of my friends has a very special birthday today! This is the card I made for her using my Cricut, SCAL2, gel pen & holder from Amy Chomas, glitter marker and a firecracker image courtesy of Pastiche Family Portal.  I hope it makes it to her house beforehand!

July Calendar Freebie

Here's a desktop calendar for July for you.  I used images and background from Scrapbook Factory Deluxe version 3, even the balloons! They reminded me of Balloon Festivals in Plymouth and Howell when our daughters were little!
