I can't believe it has been almost a whole year since I got going in scrapbooking - I mean intensely interested in it.
It started last year at the MOPS Scrapbooking Luau here in town. It started at 9 a.m. and went to 8 p.m. I can't tell you how tired I was by the end of the night, but I got so much accomplished that evening and knew this was something I really wanted to pursue.
Last year I didn't know what an SVG was - Scalable Vector Graphic; I thought cart meant shopping cart (short for cartridge) and just barely knew what a Cricut was. Or a .cut file. To me stack meant all the stacks of photos I had to sort through not paper stacks. And paper stack is not very descriptive either. What I learned was that a paper stack was a collection of coordinating papers/cardstock bound together like a giant note pad and that they came in all different sizes, from 4 x 6 up to 12 x 12. I discovered that vinyl was not an LP (these predate CDs) but a material with many different uses from scrapbooking to home decor.
That first scrapbooking luau has created a monster. I have this urge to collect paper. I love making cards. We have one craft store here in town - Hobby Lobby - and a scrapbook store in Algood. I'm anxious to visit Michael's again when we make the trip to Michigan, and see what stuff I can find.
