Someone's Having a Birthday!

Today is Younger Daughter's 29th Birthday! How did that happen? It seems like just yesterday she was getting her driver's license.

If you have been reading my blogs for a while (see me also at Gene Notes), you will know that my younger daughter is still a resident of Michigan, although we hope to see that change really soon. I don't know why but it seems that the week of her birthday is always her busiest week. In an attempt to spend more time with her, we are celebrating it just a couple days early this year.

I thought I would share pictures of the card I made for her. Andrea and I used to have girls' night. One memorable evening we had Margaritas. For the life of me I can't remember the movie at all. So this birthday card reminds me of that night.

I used white cardstock for the backing, 8.5 x 11" scored and folded. The paper on front is from Paper Studio's All Seasons stack. The Margarita glass is an image I found online that I converted to an SVG and created my own cut file from it. I used red glitter to make the strawberry Margarita, white glitter for the salt. I used a scrap of the paper on front and Amy Chomas' glitter pens & holder to write Happy Birthday.
