Keeping Me Busy!

Sad to say, I've done little or no crafting in the last couple of weeks. But I have been busy. The craft room got straightened up a bit and a lot of my genealogy projects are starting to get accomplished  - please no more census for a while!

Below is the reason I've gotten little done. I got a new laptop - in Fire Red - and a flip-pal scanner in a red case! There was a day delay between the delivery of the laptop and the delivery of the easy transfer cable, so it took a while to get things how I want them.

Isn't it cute!

It's even cuter here!

On the right side of the laptop are the remainder of the letters I am transcribing from my grandfather to my dad's brother in 1943. I'm hoping to wind up the transcription in the next couple days and then it is time to proof them all, correcting my errors while leaving his. After that I will make copies on disk of the letters and the transcriptions and pass them on to my Percival cousins and my aunt!

  1. Hi Anna,

Just happened across your blog and saw your Flip Pal Scanner. Do you like it? I'd never heard of it before but saw it has good reviews on Amazon.

It's nice to meet another scrapper / genealogist.

    Best Wishes,

  2. I love it. I don't have to plug it into a power outlet, it runs on AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) and it does not plug into my laptop or desktop. If you have an image larger than 4 x 6, you just scan it in sections and the software will stitch it together an it is simply MAH-VE-LOUS! Amazon is just a go-between between you and Flip-Pal - you can order directly from them or my pal Karen over at http://genealogyframeofmind.blogspot.com
